Just wondering if anybody else has recently gotten a pup of the Ladners line of dogs and how they are working out for you? Here awesome pics of my pup "Penny Lane" I got of Curts yard in July. I have been really impressed with her so far. She will be five months on the first of next month. This was her first time in the woods and she was right in there with the older dogs gettin after it I would Love to see any pics and of any older ladner bred dogs also!

if I was going to hunt a BMC I sure wouldn't mind a Ladner bred pup or a Joey Hudson bred pup...if they can find a coon or a squirrel it will be cake walk finding a rooter...

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog... A hunting dog is born not made...

Thanks for the comment Anthonys
Rueben, that's one of main reasons I went with a Ladner...you should see this pup hustle around with her boar on the ground

I just got home from working her on her first smaller hog. About 15 lb sow She did real good bayed real tight as long as the pig was moving but when it would lay down she would stop and just watch it...she did catch good with young cd we were working both were on ears.

Ive been around a handfull and they defiantly were not my cup of tea....they were bred for treeing small game and seem generally better for that. Of coarse there are exceptions and thats a GREAT looking pup, I hope she does well.
