I got this picture from a add on here but the phone number is not working now for some reason, there is a picture of it in the link, what do you guys think of this trailer, I have small dogs(25 35 pounds) I am trying to move over to Florida and have thought about buying this to haul em in and leave them in it until i get a big run around and excerise/training area to work them in, that way i wont have to make so many trips, what i dont understand about this trailer could it go down the higway ok you think?  I dont see lights and been wondering if it has brakes or even it it needs it, if it just had tail lights and turn signals would it be legal going thur interstate, hate to get stopped at one becuse they gave it a close up because of the dogs in it, beleive me i am aware of every dog needing current health papers going into florida for sure.  This trailer looks ok to me from what i can see so far, would you guys buy it if it had homemade trailer title and slap a farm plate on it and take off or what do u think?  Been looking at the floor in it and was thinking about getting the guy to install treated boards in it vs the wire for the terriers, does anybody know who the builder is, susposed to be south of austin, i am thinking it must be a birddog trailer builder, this might have come from a add on texasbowhunter or here i cant figure it out got it in text??  http://photos.imageevent.com/treeingratterrier/pups4sale/websize/kennel%20trailer%20picture.jpg

I think if i understood this trailer is $3500 and they build to suit, no sure if it is $3500 with barrels etc etc or just plain vanilla and then u add them??  Anyway i thought it was pretty cool for sure and cheap and instant answer to my problem of leaving the dogs here and having to make another trip back after build a kennel for them, diesel over there one way is high, think its 2400 miles round trip at 12 to 20 mpg depending on load and speed so that comes into equation for sure.  Thanks for looking and checking it out.  If you know the builder please call me at 361 354 0572 ask for James thanks!!!

I would not want to hall dogs in it. I think there would be too much wind and they could bounce around. I do not like the wire floor either. I would just get welded wire kennel panels. You can put them on dirt with wire so they don't dig out. Then you can get a cemant slab and move the kennels.

Yea i think you are right about hauling them in it down interstate, somebody prob snap a cell pic and call 911, but one way around that is is to put all of them in the 4x8 dog box i have while on the road, i am kinda worried about the tin blwoing off as well at speed, guess a guy could put some extra straps on the top of the tin to make sure it did not get wind stressed and go into a window on I 10.  I was not thinking right about the point u raised for sure, are those bird dogs in it anybody, i think this must be for a feild trial set up or something not sure??

yeah night those was most likely bird dogs . i seen a rig similar to that at a lab trial .they hualed the dogs in a seperate million dollar looking stainless trailer and housed the dogs in the other trailer during the trial . it would be a good deal on those weekend hunts on the ranch or deer lease instead of chains .

Guy has a ton of pit bulls for surelol  pretty cool jig table set up for the pannels, I just wondered if putting the panel in wood like he did would make it rust out faster than just using steel tubing in the first place??  I have never seen this done and thought would post up his idea on wood and wire for pens.  Is it kinda overkill with all of the wood??

Just for the record this trailer does not cost $3500, its over $7000, was going to go by and look at it and guy called back and said he made a mistake its $450 a hole with barrels, anyways they are made in Kyle Texas in a dedicated bird dog rigging shop, guy i talked to was off about price, pm if u want the number can prob dig it up in my email if u are in his area.  I passed and am collecting material to haul over there and just do it myslef with some local help.

I built a trailer similar to that one expect I have five 4.5'x8' kennels and mine is a single 8 lug axle. I also have the front and back of the trailer solid to help with the wind but I haven't made any long trips with it. What size is each kennel on that trailer?

I think it has to be 4x7 due to they are between the axle inside, seems like they said there were 17 on it??  Hard to count those doors tons for sure.

Wow that is a lot of room for dogs but I'm not sure if I could have a kennel that was longer than my house. Wink I might have to put my kennels on the market if thats what they are going for though.  Grin
