Well, according to the news we have or are gaining ground on opening up the horse slaughter facilities in the u.s. Here is my query:
Is there a CHANCE that with companies like beltex for example(not sure if they will go back to horses or not)taking on the horse slaughter market, creating jobs at the slaughter house and putting a little extra money back into their companys, that it could present an opportunity for HOG prices to come up again. Just wondering if the industry gets strong and the facilities that process both domestic and wild animals have a better economic impact, they might start offering a little more for the piggies again?Huh?Huh?

I don't know how high the prices have ever got, but from what I have seen and heard from my buyer they were pretty good a couple weeks ago. I sold a 155lb boar for 77 dollars, pretty good money I thought?

Shocked  50 cents a pound for a 150 pounder, thats pretty good. was there a 10dollar head bonus included in the 177 bucks or it was a straight across 50c a pound?

50-99 .20 cents a lb no bonus

100-149 .35 cents a lb plus 10 dollar bonus

150-249 .40/15 dollar bonus

250 and up .45/20 dollar  bonus

I think they dropped a hair lately, but not too much
