If you live near Houston I recommend seeing this show. There is nothing like it anywhere. http://www.second.org/Woodway/christmas/Really-Really-big-christmas-show.aspx It is a Christmas show on steroids. You and your kids will love it. They did decide to charge this year because of problems they had in the past so you do have to get tickets but only $5 and kids 2 and under can sit in your lap. http://www.ticketservant.com/WebSales/pages/RegionalPortalPage.aspx?rguid=ce4a5a6f-8574-45ba-9ca5-2810095659db& You will say wow before it is finished. You can pray for the snooty people

My wife grew up going to Houstons First Baptist and last year we decided to go to their Christmas show and I have to say it was impessive but IMO off base.  They bring in camels and elephants and donkies into the church and it makes for a good show but the program itself dealt with santa clause and some other rather non "church" topics that I found to a deviation from what I was expecting to find in a church Christmas program.  Apparentely we wernt the only ones that complained, from what I understand they were flooded with letters and voicemails expressing concerns along the same lines.  If I want to see a play then I am going to go to the theatre but if I want to go to a Christmas program at a church with my family I pretty picky on what I want the message to be about.  How do you feel about the message from the one at Second Baptist?

The one at Second starts with the person that looks at Christmas as just a holiday and gets to the real meaning. No real animals but lots exciting stuff then the message is presented with respect that is deserved. No Santa but a manger and a cross.

If they don't focus on Jesus I will double your money back. It presents it in a fun way but it is very direct and points out how people do not put Jesus in Christmas.

If anyone decides to go let me know. I will be at every show.
