sorry for getting off the subject lol
only injuries ive gotten from horses were hurt feelings and a lost voice.

noah becareful about them concussions, once you get  a few its seems like its a whole lot easier for it to happen again and again.

When i was a kid I was taking the saddle off one of my grandpas horses. He kept pulling away to get some hay. I went and got some so whe woud stay still.
I removed the saddle when I went to put the bit off, she kept moving away.
Suddenly she spun around and did a double kick.
Got me behind each knee
not to painfull but huge bruises on each leg

that same horse knocked my brother off into a catctus patch

In 2003 we were catching some bad Brahman cross cattle out of the river bottom! I had one dog leaving out in a hurry with a big yearling I went to him and he was running through a cypress knee flat wide open! At the time I was riding the single best horse I ever road he could get you through the woods in a hurry just give him his head and just consider it done! As he was in a dead run going to the yearling for me to rope his front leg went between two cypress knees jerked it out from under him he flipped end over end landed on me and broke my back my eleven T vertebra! I laid in the middle of the  7500acre woods pasture. I did rope the yearling before we flipped they found the dog bayed on him with the rope several hours later and found my horse the next day with my saddle under him. I was in the hospital for a week. Crystal stayed with me the whole time and all she had was her riding boots with spurs towear around the hospital with a pair of boxer shorts it was pretty funny! Crystal finally ask me to sale that horse she said either he is going to kill you or your going to
kill him so I sold him the worse thing I ever did!

Chip in shin bone from a neighbors horse back when I was in high school trying to learn to ride bareback (rodeo style) Me and a good friend of mine who used to ride bareback at the local rodeos caught the neighbors unbroke horse and put it in a small padock with a rig and a flank strap. I was doing real good and then he hollared and told me to lean back more. Well when I did, the horses rump and my head met on a good jump. When I hit the ground, the horse came down right on my shin. Never did tell my momma cause she would have whooped me good.

Back/neck injury on a 2yr old that I took in trade on a fence building job. I had her going pretty good and took her out for a ride one day and she twisted off without warning. This little girl could get it on! She threw me up in the air and I came down on the back of my neck with my body curled over top of me. Thought I broke my back but I just really stretched everything. I couldn't move for a few days.OUCH!

Broken wrist on a big Hancock bred 3 yr. gelding that we bought from Wyoming. Also had him going pretty good and I pushed him too hard one day and he threw me and on the way to the ground, my arm went through the cattle pannel around our arena.

So, other than me putting too much trust in young horses, I guess Ive been pretty lucky.  Smiley

Broke ribs twice and torn rotator cuff in shoulder. Most of it due to riding while intoxicated. I don't do that anymore. Smiley

I never owned a horse...but fantasized about it as a kid....I love good horses/dogs and movies about them...

I almost used the Handle on here as WarHorse...I like the description of what they say about them in the Bible...and now there is a movie coming out in a few days named just that...last movie I went out to see was Secetariat and now it will be Warhorse.

My dad knew better than to let me have a horse Grin I had enough injuries hunting...without having to be on a horse... Sad
