hi all, just wanted to what jam up means ,  a term we dont use over here,

jam up means "bad to the bone hog dog"...that is if we are talking hog dogs...

australia, readn the lab, pit thread and mate said straight labs were jam up, he wanted rougher so added pit,

Don't know about now but years back it just mean't real good horse, do, or whatever.

jam up catch dog means a very good catch dog.

jam up strike dog means he is one very good strike dog...

I think it s sorta like bonzer.

Jam up is just a figure of speech, there are no set guidelines a dog has to reach to be jam up. Some folks have puppies they refer to as jam up. It really no longer means anything from most mouths.

I think it means the owner likes him As far as I am concerned that would be like going to your local school and seeing kids playing a sport. Then one day you see a kid that is a jam up player. He may not be the best ever but he clearly has talent. That is the one the coaches want. It is thrown around too much if you ask me.
