TBird and G2 (G2 first hunt in free rannge)

Geronimo and Copper first hunt where got on hogs

Geronim and Sounder the Coon/Squirrel dog baying

geronimo and T Bird baying like crazy

Copper is smooth worn out!

Mike H. brought one old experienced dog, and between Us, a BUNCH of young and in-experienced dogs, several for first time. Was planning a real easy casual hunt, expecting to get on the small group of shoats that has been frequenting the deer feeder on the place daily. Did not quite go as expected, went much better instead!

Dogs trailed up this Boar from tank and he have them a hard time and a few pokes. Then we got down into some rose hedge thickets where cant see in picture but had a rally of Big sows with shoats, and dogs getting their a$$ handed to them and schooled in the important lessons of baying and not grabing cause always somebody bigger and badder then you in the woods. we watched them for awhile until it sounded like somebody was realy getting smackdown, we caught good fa sow and dogs wetre all split on many hogs in many different directions. Landowners from neighboring properties shooting as dogs flushed across their feilds, sounding like war! I guess spooked young dogs did not stay with them too too long.

the pictures with dogs running around brush was FULL of pork rattling and charging them pups,

Looking good Crystal.  Stay away from neighbors with guns!  That's always one of my biggest concerns!

Thanks, yes it was scary for a minute, but he called and asked if we wanted the hog that he dropped so he is a happy neighbor thankfully!

Thanks for taking T-bird under your wing & teaching him that the woods have hogs & we don't just go to the woods for long range exercise. I'll come pick him up as soon as I have a day off. Heck of a hunt!!

He is a good lookin' dog! When blakebh started out he had a couple of red bones that were good lookin' too. Wish he would have kept them around to turn into hog dogs.  Grin
