Call your vet first thing Monday morning for suggestions on the gyp. To keep your pups alive you can use goats milk in the can from the feed store and get bottles and nipples there.

well you should have started her on a good puppy food or bin adding milk replacer to her food two weeks before she welped now your going to have to help her with supplementing the pups with bottle feedings every three to four hours and to help her milk production give her all the food she wants and add milk replacer to it also you can give her calcium tabs for dogs once a day and to help give her a jump start you can give her nutri-cal and dine in her food

I don't give mine anything but food, and they do just fine. All that other stuff wont hurt them, but not necessary. Get her to the vet ASAP they can give her a shot that will cause her to make milk. I had one do that years ago, might be something wrong with her. But for sure give her all she can eat. Ive got a female that I have to switch feeds when she has pups, for some reason she wont touch her regular food til about time to wean. Might have to bottle feed with goat milk replacer just make sure and read the back, get the highest % of fat and protein, cause their not all the same. You can also get 1 tub of plain yogurt, 1 can of condensed milk/creamer, 2 tbl spoon of mayonnaise, and 2 eggs. Mix well, has worked well.

she can't make much milk without having plenty of fresh water to drink at all times...also a high quality dog food and let her eat all she wants.

Feed them evaporated milk mixed 1/2 & 1/2 with water by bottle till they can lap it. They will rebound pretty quick . Give mom a little over her food.

get to the feed store and get you some 24% milke replacer. get to the dollar store and get a simple baby bottle. take a hot safety pen and poke a large enough hole in the nipple until milk runs out when the bottle is tilted over. the milk replacer i use mixes i part powder to 4 parts warter. so that's 1 cup powder to 4 cups water. make more or less using the same ratio...also the milk will keep in the frigde. heat the milk (mixed with water) or water before mixing to about 100 degrees. same like you would give a baby. feed, burp, and that's it. i bottle feed all my pups until their mom's milk comes down. at 3weeks start soaking dog/puppy food in the milk replacer until softened. let them have it and keep a bowl of water in a shallow pan out for them. in a few days they will get the hang of eating. by the 4th week they will eat like champs... good luck

the pups do best when drinking mamas milk...unless she has a problem with her milk. Supplementing is ok but I would make sure the pups are drinking mamas milk as much as posible...
burping a pup means you get a warm and damp cloth and rub it from between legs to under the tail. This stimulates the pups to urinate and poop. You have to simulate what the mama dog does...but she should do this on her own...

I'm just curious how do you know she's not producing enough milk for the pups? Are they crying a lot? It may not look like she's full of milk, and you might not be able to squeeze her and get much out but 99% of the time if she's healthy and being fed right, then what she's doing is probably okay. Dogs are just like any other mammal, her body will make just what she needs, and usually not much more. I'm all about helping out when a helping hand is needed, but I also realize that dogs have been giving birth and caring for their young for ages without man's intervention.
Also know that the milk a mother dog gives her newborn pups the first couple of days (colostrum) won't look like regular milk (fore and hind milk) and there really won't seem like there's much of it.

X 2, my plott didn't look like she had much milk at all but raised 7 pups just fine. If they've made it two weeks, and are healthy lookin, I'd say everything's o.k.

As long as the pups appear healthy and aren't crying a lot, I wouldn't much worry about it.
