I had a stag hound / Bmc cross named Hippy .  He was a good dog  man lots of go and very very ruff.  He got killed some years back.  I didnt like the shaggy hair is bout the only thing I didnt like about it he seem to get really heated up durning the summer months and fell out on me a couple of times but he was tuffer than nails.

Not to hyjack - but what about pitbull/greyhound cause in a few months I'll be the owner of one little female pup.

Unless you water down the hairy dog considerably they will be catch every tiime. Thats the beauty of em, theyre fast and they shutem down! What kind of scence does it make to breed a Smokin fast bay dog. Its gonna shut those runners down by barkin at em? lol
Sorry to rant justs gets me goin is all....

I have a male Stag. He is straight catch and does an awesome job. My bulldog sits in the kennel most of the time now. I use him as a lead in.
