male pup 6 months out of Cleve Fergusons catouala "Pete" dog, reputed to be best hog dog in this area (deceased) . Pete would run hog till it stopped and hold bay by his self, silent on trail, ran hog by body scent with head up, so fast on track he would run out from under a Garmin signal. On my first hog hunt, I asked Cleve the question " how many dogs does it take to bay a hog? - he looked toward Pete and held up one finger.
