I was curious if anyone knew if the vet could bring a dog in heat like they do show pigs? I have heard some people say they can give them a shot but i have no idea and was wondering if anyone else did

Just make plans to use her in something important. That's when they ALWAYS come in for me.

My buddy had a border collie gyp that we wanted to breed to my male border collie, he caught her late in her heat cycle we went ahead and put them together and she wouldn't stand finally got them hung one time but were afraid it wouldn't take so he went to the vet and got her aborted (with a shot) that brought her back in. Yet to know if it payed off she's not quite far enuff along to show. But you may ask your vet but first weigh your options, my buddy was told there was a chance the shot would cause her to come in heat and never go out with the only fix being spaying. Or worse he said the gyp could die. So really weigh your options. Hope this helps.
