I had one a long time ago. Caught it when it was about 5 lbs. bottle raised it and kept it till it was 250-275 lbs. was a good pet but only to me. If any one else got around it once he was 175 lbs he was just plain mean. I could be around him with no problems but anyone else he'd get after them.

i figure bout 100+ lbs would b a good time then to put it outside. i had a sow that was a biter, if you turned your back on her she would bite. i could handle her and could even let her out and call her around the yard and back in the pen. i was wondering the thoughts of having it inthe house and how big to put it outside.

Mine is tame as can be. She was vary socialized as a little pigglet though when I got her she was probally 20 25 pounds and is huge now probally 250 270 been tring to slim her up a little she is flat big. Only time I have to watch her is when I'm messing with another pig and it goes to squealing.

Dude if you got kids do not keep that thing in your house. a pig is the most vile animal on earth. I have been bit and chased by hamps when we raised them. you couldn't gimme a dang pig unless you wanna see it with some dog jewelry on it. But to each his own Like Jake said " Folks who keep pigs ain't no better than farmers " no offense farmers

We got one as a little piglet prolly under 5lbs. Kept him in the house till he was 35-45lbs. Sucker used a liter box and everything. Hes outside in a my bay pen now and around 100lbs or so still runs up wanting a good ear scratch when we go out to feed. My grandparents feed him an everything. Made a good pet if socialized well I think you will have good luck with it.

My friend had one for like two years we caught her wen she was like 3 pounds she was cute and tiny and fun then she got ugly and HUGE and mean lol! She wasn't mean to me or him or really anybody else but she had this weird relationship with the mail man she liked to watch him run very fast I guess lol then she broke one of my friends flower pots and he had to get rid of her. But anyways I don't think it's a good idea lol you couldn't give me a pet for a pig. They go from the woods to a pen WAY away from my house like 3 miles and then to Beltec. But like Waylon said to each his own

LOL! Couple of my fellow TBH folks got one out of a sow that had piglets while we were trying to get hogs out of one of the trailers at the Randy Bumpers event... Pretty cool little thing, and is doing good. They plan on raising it inside for a little while, so this should be interesting. Good luck with yours!

SOD as in ground Buster as in plowing. i know a sod buster is a farmer. why do you think i said that?? think about it yourself. ok used to be rich in fertile land. remember the dust bowl of the early 30s. they used up all the nutrients and with no rain, the crops dryed up, died and turned to dust. im not a city slicker, i was raised on a farm and ranch. been there done that.
