The day started with me and Mr. Gasch having some hunters coming down from Kansas to do some hog hunting... The day started off slow till maverick barked out of the box so we get him off with quirt right behind funny part is quirt came back and maverick was covering some ground so we loaded quirt up to get close to him cause it said he was treed and not moving so we get 100 yards from and we can just hear him wind was blowing but in the wrong direction so we get quirt off as we got close with the catch dogs you can hear a sow with shoats grunting quirt gets there and they catch a shoat dang dogs but I was proud of maverick heck something is better then nothing we load them up and head back to see some tanks but no sign so we get two of Gasch dogs down and I put twisted down as well.. It got gamey fast they go 400 yards out the hunters call us on the radio they here a dog barking as we got close I see twisted treed and the other dogs behind him they get there they also caught a shoat but ol weld still better than nothing...we loaded up it was getting hot we started hunting around 8:30 pm driving around takes with no luck till we drive and see a hog was just in it we get trouble and buddie out they go up 400 yards and open up we get close to him I get maverick and twisted off but these dogs had there own plan we get to buddie and trouble kill the sow they had and out of the distance you hear squealing I sow we killed was nursing shoats well sure enought maverick and twisted found and killed one... Driving to the last tank we get off and start looking for signs maverick starts going nuts I get him to shut up then walking around the tank we hear hogs so we cut quirt off then follows by maverick quirt opens up bay brakes and maverick opens up again solid bay with twisted there to join we cut the catchdogs lose we caught a nice sow nothing huge but the hunters were happy next time maverick barks I'll make sure he gets off
in all we caught 5 nothing big but I well better than anything my poor Indio never got to get in the action poor boy lol but heck twisted and maverick made me proud...
