Got to thinking if you could take a shaft and use the long bolts you could replace the all thread prongs when ever you dulled them have half a dozen or so just screw out the dull and screw in the new.  I don't know just a thought

your on the right track bro, were playing with a design @ work like that with a locking nut to secure them in. Finding a long skinny bolt is tougher than i thought, we tried a 4 prong garden tool today but got a little crazy with the torch and hammer and ruined one, but thanks for your input bro.
