I met a couple boys down south of Houston that hunted crops, mostly small crops and only in grain season. They ran a lot of bulldog crosses because they had permission to hunt on one plott but maybe not the one next door so they needed the hog caught QUICK! They hit the ponds on a monthly basis because there are a lot of "mutts" in the pound. In addition to the bulldog crosses (from the pound) they ran they also had a couple of dogs I would not hesitate to call strike dogs but if you asked me to identify the breed........................................ Mutt?

I rarely use mitts. Dont get that cold often im my neck of the woods  But I know of some "mutts" that can get it done. To each their own I guess.
