OK I am still fairly new to this and would like to hear what your definitions are on dog types. I have heard them called may things and I know I am missing something from my group and I was thinking it was a running catch dog. Please help me out and define the below types or add other types if i miss something.
Bay/Strike/Find Dog
Catch Dog
Running Catch Dog
Help Dog
I am sure there are more, but these come to mind. I got dogs that will bay a hog, but if one breaks after they bay they will chase and chase and chase, but never seem to get it stopped, my bay dogs are not gritty on their own and will only grab ahold once my catch dog gets there, I need something that will shut down a runner and help keep it stopped till I can get there with the CD. Any ideas?

Good luck in your search for one that will shut down a runner,.....if you DO find that....you'll be a wealthy man if you play your cards right.
