What an investment...

BRAVE and other stories...written by Steve M. Matthes...I bought the book from his wife Vera In January of 1993 for about 20 dollars and she asked if I wanted it autographed and I remember saying if it wasn't too much trouble it would be nice...and she said Steve would be happy to do so...

Well he wrote the book and she edited and published it and the book is a nice piece of work...it is bronze colored with gold lettering on the hard cover...

my friend wanted one and on amazon.com there are 3 books starting from 3 hundred dollars to 695 dollars each but this book is not for sale...The first story about "Brave" his favorite dog that he bred is by far the best story...He bred and raised the Matthes lion hounds for many years...they looked like 50-60 pound red curs with a touch of hound in them...

I remember that phone call like it was yesterday...a chapter of history closed but a few books remain to keep it alive...I have opened this book many times because I love to read about BRAVE...reminds me of one of my first hog dogs named YELLER...
