P & P cut gear. Larry Parish 580-931-7446. He makes custom vest and collars based on your dogs measurements. It will fit your dog perfect. It will not rub him raw between the legs like some off the shelf vest. He has no website or catalog. Just call him and talk with him and tell him your needs.

Well you have plenty of possibilities. There are some REAL nice stuff out there but I personally didn’t want to spend an arm and a leg. I spoke with Ugly Dog Ranch a while back and asked for a custom sized vest based off of one from their normal line up and it works great. I use RCD's only and this vest (IMO) protects hard in the areas hit when a dog is locked on. It has plenty of padding and Kevlar in the neck/ chest and just enough over the shoulders. They stay VERY mobile and allows for FAST entry when the dog grips which is where most of my dogs get hurt. I do get small rubs after 5-10mi behind the horses but I can’t think of a better deal. The pic of my dog shows the vest without a cut collar. I love that Ugly Dog Ranch adds that high neck on the vest so the collar over laps.

very nice shot of your malinois sir. I have really taken to the guardian kevlar vest and the titan series. They make shorty lengths in both and they have a chin guard. Never had an issue with rubbing even on the strike dog.

We have found that p&p is the most well sewed vest u can find but they are super heavy and i have seen 7 layers with complete pass threws that cut the dog to and the devistator cut thru and my buddies Titan from ugly dog cut thru I would only vest my dogs in hardcore vest they make them with high necks and make one especially for rcds and there vest all have military grade kevlar 850+ I'd spend my money there for the price u can't beat them either Sammy Sam3030 and I have used 5 different brands of vest and hardcorevest are the only ones that hold up for us we run 3-5 days a week and kill hundreds of hogs a year so I'm just not blowing smoke
