That ain't no joke I'm only 20 and I see kids growing up now days that can't do a dang thing for their selves if my grandma ever seen me go into a store with out opening the door for an elderly man or woman that was 20ft behind I would take a beating infront of every one and growing up you didn't talk. Back in our house or you wouldn't be able to talk for awhile

I remember getting wooped by my grandma for back talking several times but one ago k out in mykonos more than anything. I was around 6 years old and we all wen to the movie theaters and I didn't get to see winchovie I wanted to see. So I started back talking. On the way out of the
Movie my grandma snatched me up and slopes the fire out of me right in front of 2 police officers. I looked up at them while this was happening and they smiled at me lol. Times have. Hanged in the past 25 years I can say that.

if i asked for something in the store more than once if i was in anyway ungentlemanly or rude i would get a spanking in front of everyone. If i was really out of line i have known my mom to yank the back of my pants down, exposing my little white bottom and warm it up in the grocery store. I said yes maam and no sir. I was required to do chores and work from three years my mom and dad set me down on my third birthday. they were very serious about it. they told me i was old enough to start earning my keep.and no free ride from here on out.I would be expected to water the dogs every day and my dad would check on them to make sure it was done, if it wasn't i would have to go outside after dark and do it when he got home. I'm not saying i did it every day but I usually did and we had alot of walkers to water i had to talk my sister into going outside at dark with me when i was caught so i wouldn't be scared. I had no t.v. no nintendo or atari until i was 15 or sixteen. I spent all my free time in the woods I had weapon catches (home made) spread out over two square miles along with forts. I hunted alone with a twenty two at 11 yrs old killed a deer by myself by then. I had built a tree house on my own by then. I could drive a hay truck . i knew how to build a fire and heat up metal red hot by myself and hammer it into a crude spear.I am not a over achiever as an adult but I think back to the way it was when i was a kid and I look at kids today, even country kids and i couldn't even see any of them knowing that stuff or being near responsible enough to cary a gun at 13 or 14. I drove the truck two miles on my own on the dirty road at 11 or 12 picked up a bale on the spear and feed the cows while dad was working. I don't know any kid who could operate a saw or anything like it at that age today. I did all the time and so did most of the kids i grew up with. Heck i changed brake pads at twelve. It's the video games that have ruined em theyu don't play outside enough.

Y'all hit the nail on the head. When I was 12 I was already plowing fields and shredding the one that I hated and loved at the same time was chopping mesquite bushes. My grandad would pay me 50€ for each one. I saved up enough money from that to buy a deer rifle when. At fifteen I had a steady job at a mailing co. That's how I baught my first vehicle. Cash money. I got tired of that job so I quit a year later and was working under a contracter. I worked my arse off but I brought more money home than
Most grown men with a steady job. At 16 I was making 800 a week. Then I bought another truck that was called "daddy's truck" after that I went back to high school still worked part time. Now I'm graduating college and have a good job. I think people should get there backbones back and get off there lazy arses cause if young kids can have these type of accomplishments then why can't grown men.
