I always wanted to work on a shrimp boat moved to la. just to try it and ended up spending the whole time doing hvac.

I met the guy who really earned the Medal of Honor and they even used him getting the medal and put Tom Hanks face on his body his name is Sammy L. Davis and his actual actions were far beyond Forest Gump. But he did not do the other Forest Gump stuff and he seemed like he was a bit smarter than Gump. Just Google "Sammy L. Davis Medal of Honor" and you can read about a real hero. |

I love Shrimp. You can do all sorts of things with shrimp. There's shrimp kabobs, shrimp creole, shrimp gumbo, shrimp cocktail, pan fried shrimp, deep fried shrimp, boiled shrimp, .................... " After that, shrimpin' was easy. And since people still needed them shrimps for shrimp cocktails and barbecues and all. And since we were the only boat left standing, "Bubba-Gump" shrimp's what they got. We got a whole bunch of boats. Twelve Jenny's, a big ol' warehouse, we even have hats that says "Bubba-Gump" on 'em. "Bubba-Gump Shrimp." It's a household name."  |

Its hard azz dirty work... like being a floor hand on a work over rig but add salt water... and less dope. I have two family members with bait stands and shrimp boats on the Laguana Madre in Corpus. My grandfather and great uncles all use to shrimp and commercial fish. The younger cousins couldn't wait to get away from that stuff.  |
