Well it's been a while & let me tell you, those dogs still got it in them! We decided to take our four main strike dogs (Clayton's dog Bob, Blackie & his up & coming strike dog Mojo-Derek's dogs Buster & Tiger & Mine, RD aka Red Dog and as catch dogs Harley & Shrek) we went out to a big place where we haven't had much luck in the past catching big hogs. Once we got there we let the dogs loose....they were making great runs, covering lots of ground! As the dogs were covering ground Clayton decided to send'em over to a nearby creek bed to see what they could jump on...and what do you know, within 100 yards the dogs were going crazy...in & out of the woods, noses to the ground! We walked about 50 more yards & heard a bark....and before you know it, the dogs were singing that sweet sound we all love to hear!! BINGO!! I was the first one to the bay, Derek & Clayton were about 10 yards behind me, once I saw how huge this Boar was I started whoopin & hollerin!! The Boar was approx. 400 lbs w/ 3.5" cutters on both sides! What a great way to start the morning off!! Here are a few pics of the Monster Boar!

Taking a break in the bay pen! Rough morning!!

After the big catch we decided to load up & check out another spot. When we got the Blackie, RD, Bob & Red Bull decided to make a run for it. We had them bayed at 1.4 miles on a good group of hogs! As we headed that way Derek's dogs Buster, Tiger, Clayton's dog Mojo were finding the other hogs that had scattered from the group. We ended up with 7 good size hogs! It was a hell of a run & the dogs did Awesome!! Here is one pic that I took!

My wife & son were out shopping so I decided to toss out a line & kick back with a cold beer!! I called up my neighbor/good buddy Robert & we went fishing after a long hard morning of hunting! The fish were biting good.....here are a couple we caught!!

Rippin Lips! What a great way to end the day!

Nice hog for the Lexington Boys!

Question do y'all ever catch many Barr's around y'all?

I have an old video(15+ years ago) of about 75 boar hogs in a group at my cousins place in Lexington feeding around the big lake.. some of the coolest stuff you'll ever see. Another time when I was about 12 we ran into a group of 28 boar hogs, I laid 3 down with my 30-30. Hadn't ever seen boar hogs group up in other parts of Texas like they seem to out there.

Dirtydog, we were going to weigh, but the damn tractor got stuck in the sand, and I mean deep sand... Once we got the tractor out we had to pull our truck out, hog was Panicking bad so we put him in the hog trailer...

TShelly, we catch a few here and there, We took one to the TDHA competition, that went 255... that's the last one we've caught...
If I remember right Clayton, Will and I caught one about 2-1/2 years ago, that was a MONSTER BARR, I'll see if I can find a pic and post it...

Dirty dog where are you hunting in our area?Huh??
Tshelly we have caught maybe one or two a year.  I trapped a group of boars like you were talking about in a large round trap. Caught 24 that day and 22 were boars.  All weighed about 100 to 150.  Abel is right we did catch a big Barr a couple years ago.  He weighed 456 lbs.  Biggest  hog I've ever caught. I'll see if I have a pic that I can find.  When you are down give us a call we can hookup and get a hunt in
