I'm not going to say anyone is rite or wrong,  a pos bull dog can get your bay dogs hurt or killed real fast!   They can also get you hurt just as fast!

I wouldn't spend alot on one but I wouldnt sell one cheap. Catch dogs do have very risky jobs but not to say it does not or will not but some of the greats die from age or health issues not to a hog. I had one put down at the age of 13 bc of health reasons. his son is now 5. I'm not saying good catch dogs don't get killed because they do but alot die on the yard and not in the woods. I would never spend more on a bulldog than a good strike dog. But i wouldn't sell mine cd for what a good strike dog cost either.

I would not pay  10 cents worth of mexican  money for one , dont want or need one . But i do enjoy hunting with a good one. Mike and timmy it was a pleasure to hunt with yours.

If a dogo pup is $1000 plus I don't want to know what a good one is worth

another thing to think about is that a cd is kind of like an insurance policy for the rest of your dogs. i know a lot of dogs that arnt real gritty on a hog until the cd gets there. i think the last thing anyone wants is a strike dog lighting into a hog cause he thinks the cd has it then the cd gets bucked. plus if the cd misses and the bay breaks you could end up loses that hog and next time he gets run by dogs hes a hell of a lot smarter and more dangerous to the whole pack. wouldnt say a cd is worth as much as a good strike dog but wouldnt say theyre just a dime a dozen
