Do rough bay dogs cause hogs to break? Just wondering? I bought a few finished dogs and some pups? One of my strike dogs is catchy and one is a gritty bay dog, and then I also have a finished RCD, 2 RCD pups and 2 pups off bay dogs? Just trying to figure out the right combos? Any and all opinions and experience welcomed?

Your going to get alot of opinions but its probably best to try and just hunt the dogs and figure out the combination you have the best result with for the terrain and hogs you hunt.

Gotya I have a really nice female 1/2 Catahoula 1/4 cur 1/4 Pit that really beats the bushes stays busy and finds lots of hogs for me. She trys to catch though but gets thrown and then the hog usually runs. So my best results with her so far is just sending her and my RCD out together. I have a nice catahoula too but he relays quick and wont mess with a caught hog. So I usually save him until they lose one and put him on it to go find it or turn them out together but they seem to strike east and west and I'm only one fella so just trying to figure out what others do.

It depends on the hogs. I hunted some that it did not matter what kind of bay dog you put down they would not stop. You had to run catch dogs. But I would say it depends on what kind of dogs have been run in the area to educate the hogs. I like the loose baying dogs and a RCD.
