There is group of pigs rooting up our pipeline (fenced in valve cage) and messing up the area where the pipeline crew drives. I was approached by management of my company to create a solution to stop the rooting no shooting, and no running dogs. I told them trapping will only work until the next group moves in, then you are back to the same problem. I figured a 4" thick limestone drive would be about the only option. If there is softer ground around the drive they should mess with the rocks since it would be to much work to get food. Do you think the limestone will work, if not what are some other methods to stop the rooting?

I'd keep saling the solution to dogs is the only way!  When the problem continues they will give the ok!

Not that easy. I have been trying to run this place for a couple years and can't catch a break. It is in New Orleans East and from what I heard it is pretty much impossible to run this area. With that they also said I would have to gain permission from the levee board and one border is the bayou savage wildlife refuge. But, I won't give up until I die. You could definitely stack them up at this place.

4-6" of limestone base or 6-8" river rock. A big coral trap will work for a while, lv a couple in it n let more come in, lv a couple fresh 1s n repeat.

I would get a big tub of Zatarains seafood boil and add some extra cayenne to it. I would mix that up in a sprayer and saturate the area. It might work it might not.

if they won't let you shoot'em and they won't let you use dogs then tell them to take the givernment aproach .lol let them dump tons of free corn out so they don't have to root .  Cheesy

then when the hogs get bad enough maybe they will use a little common sense .  Grin Grin

Tell there tight butts to limestone that whole area. Yall bound to be tired of working in the mud and water any ways. The hogs won't root it up because there will be no reason to.

Thats funny. They gravel that little pad right at the gate. Is that where your suppose to take your waders on and off at? Cheesy
