Just wondering how soon do any of yall release the catch dog or how far from the bay

I like to let the bay for a few min , to make sure they are bayed for sure an not moving , the send CD 100 yards or less

I usually don't need a cd, mine bay alone but get suicidal when a buddy shows up.

I walk mine right to the bay and keep him on the leash. I let him get close enough to grab a ear then someone legs the hog while i hold the leash. Smiley that is how i did it on the last two

All depends on terrain and the situation to me, if they cant seem to settle the bay then she gets sent from a bit farther out, if i can though I like to cut her loose as close as possible so I can be right behind her.

The way I see it is my CD can be there faster then I can. I'm to lazy to be rushing to a bay. It's their job not mine. I'm just their transportation and pull the pigs out. The rest is up to them.

Im still kicking my self for not sittin back and videoing. Lol Mrs. Dinah said they on a freggin armadillo about the same time I saw that I was standin just about right on top of that hog lol, that was a fun hunt and great catch.........not to mention that the dogs went in and bayed not 500 yards from the other guys we ran into and they werent 50yds off a good trail......sure is nice when it works out like that! hahaha

....good times for sure! We need to do it again.
