Here a few weeks ago I picked a a generously donated dog from Ryan.  Diablo is a rough 3 legged strike dog that was aquired on the promise to hunt him, if he didn't hunt I give him back.  So being short a consistient strike dog I decided to give it a go round and try him out.  The first night hunt he went out and trashed an awful lot, but me being a hard head decided it must of been either he wasn't night hunted alot or he had just been on the chain a bit long and was wanting to hunt anything.  So I decided to to try him during the day to see if it was a night thing, this ole 3 legged dog struck twice in the next 2 hunts, on a runner for 2 miles both times, I couldn''t believe it.  Unfourtunately my other dogs didn't stick with him and we came up empty.  So I decided to try him again last night and he lived up to his end.  Me and a buddy went out with "D" or "tripod" as he is called by all my buddies, who seem to think I am full of chit that a 3 legged dog is a solid hog dog, Red, my pups, my buddies dog Rex, and my catch dog Blue.  WIthin half and hour of being on the ground the dogs struck a nice 180 boar and smothered him.  As we went to the bay we can hear the fight is on and there is no squealing at all, so we are thinking big hog, by buddy gets there first and hollars to turn Blue loose.  I get to the bay and I get this great picture opporunity from the bank of the ditch above the catch.  ALthough my camera is not the best on my phone or at night you can get the picture.  Low and behind we get the hog caught and we are checking the dogs and the only one cut is ole "D", poor pup to a slice to the nub, we stapled him up and he hunted the rest of the night with no issues.  All the dogs done great, was proud of ole "D: and my pups, one was on his way out the door for being to loose for me--I get to the bay and he is caught, couldn't  be happier!  Thanks Again Ryan "D" is gonna get hunted alot and provide some much needed help and training for my pups!

Black Dog on top is "D", Then going down is Blue,  Rex, Jack and Jim (My Pups), and old Red.

In additon to this I got a chance to try out the grinder my wife got me for Christmas, gonna have plenty of sausge aroung here!  Then to top it off my catch dog became a Daddy today, 5 girls and 4 boys!

That's really good to hear Denton! I really appreciate you taking him and giving him his job back. With all the pups we have right now, and how our pack's style is starting to come together he just wasn't going to fit in right any more. I didn't want him to spend the rest of his days only being able to hunt once a month if that because he is a really good dog. Anyone I've ever talked to him about thought I was crazy for still hunting a tripod dog, but when you see how he lights up when gearing up and loading up dogs you can't help but know that he lives for it! Not to mention he has a helluva drive and will hunt his butt off not just for a 3 legged dog, but as a dog period! So glad you like him and I hope that he continues to help you put pork on the table!!! Made my day bud, so thank you! If you have any more pics of him post em up if you don't mind.
