The hog above wasn't all that big but mean as all get out, cut 4 of Randy's dogs but nothing really bad.

This old boy was a biggun, Scott shot him Sat. morning in front of our dogs. Weighed 225 gutted. About as good as they come in south GA.
A couple more from Sat. morning. Dogs did about as good as a pack of dogs can, I was really proud of them. We got 4 on Friday and 7 on Sat. Randy just about got put out of the game Friday morning by that smaller boar hog. Julie shot him but not before he did some damage to Randy's pack.
Got on a bunch Saturday morning and had a fine day. This scope of woods was full of hogs and we had some fun. Rabbit Bob saw about 25 come out of the woods about the time we turned loose at the other end. My dog Belle ran came by me with one first thing, but even at 20 yards I couldn't see it, such is it in south GA.
I shot at a big hog running in the thick stuff but I reckon I missed, never found any sign of it being hit. Keith killed one that Belle and his dog Puppy were on soon after that. Almost everyone got to shoot or at least see a hog so it was a good day. We wound up with 11 for the weekend, good times for all.

Thanks guys,.....it was a fun weekend except for Randy's dogs getting whacked on by that smaller hog. But they're gonna be fine I reckon. If the dogs had of caught up with that big hog before Scott shot him we might have all been out of business. Buddylee we hunt primarily in Pulaski, Blekeley and Dooly counties.

Yep, it was a good weekend for sure. No swamphunter, we never use catch dogs....it's just not practical for us. These hogs are runners and don't bay up all that often. Most of the folks from TN that I hunt with have hounds that are open and these hogs have just about all had a run in with dogs so they don't care to stand and fight or bay up....most of the time that is. Now and then we get on an old boar hog that would rather fight than run. Our dogs are pretty rough I would say, they'll catch if they can handle it and sometimes if they can't.

jsh,....that dog is a walker that one of my TN buddies has......don't know a lot about it other than that it will run a hog and fight it like nobody's business.
