So the neighbors were fueding amoungst themselves? None of it was directed at you? you just got caught in the middle?

AND you got your tires slashed (I have to assume by one of the aggressors) so did the cops not arrest them?

There has to be more to this. How about the Clift Notes version. We need enough info to pass the test..... Readers digest leaves out too many details Smiley

ok, ok....here is the story

We are hunting a "nature area" in a nice neighborhood in north Houston, this is Mike's place and he has the permission from the HOA, and prior to us heading out there, he contacted the local game warden and the constables office that patrols the neighborhood. Sometime a little after dark we are hunting the wooded area that borders an small lake and clearing. From the wooded area you can see the street. As we were nearing the edge of the wooded area/clearing we could see a vehicle at the street with a spotlight shining from the vehicle.  Thinking it was the GW or constable, we started heading their direction. The man from the vehicle approached us( he turned out to be a resident) and asked if we were having any luck catching the hogs..about that time, a lady who lived along the lake/clearing came out of her house with a flashlight yelling get the F*** out of here, get the F*** out of here repeatedly. The man told her that we were working for the HOA and that she needed to leave us alone and get back in her house...She went back in her house, then came right back out racking a shell in a pump shotgun, telling us to get the F*** out of here NOW!  The man then pulled out his handgun and racked one in the chamber, then got on the phone with the law.  After some time 5 squad cars showed up, questioned both parties, and we soon became aware that these two had been going at it for some time. No citations issued, and no shots fired.  The lady claimed she was scared, and that there had been looters there after Ike and she was home alone, etc, etc.... Eventually, we spoke with the lady, explained what we are doing there, and we got her phone number. Mike is gonna call her and let her know what nights we will be hunting, so she doesn't shoot us  Shocked  It all turned out OK thankfully.  Couple hours later, we hit the trucks to head home, and Underdogs truck has had two valve stems cut off.  This was better than a mile from the lake area. Probably some random do gooder, thinking if he strands us, we won't harm the hogs....or something silly like that.

All TDHA members can get a reward posted, up to $500.00, for the arrest and conviction of the person that damages your equipment while hunting.

Some body knows something.

Mr mason,

How would a person go about posting that reward if they were going to utilize it?

Send a detail of what happen to a members equipment to TDHA and the board will deside on how much reward for the damages and approve it to be posted.
Then if some one truns in a person and that person is convicted the person that turned them in will get the reward.

Poat on the internet, posters, or any where to get the word out.
Can call or e-mail any tips.

All infromation on TDHA web site under court room on message board.

Dang Circle C!

Looks like you may need to hire a bodyguard if you continue hunting that place!

The only thing I usually run in to wile hunting City hogs is drunk teenagers, but non of them are toting guns and shouting obscenities at so far!  Shocked

I bet you haven't heard the last of that lady. Watch your back buddy!

Probably have heard the last of that lady. After speaking to her AND the other gun toting home owner, it seems that they have a long history of feuding. Not sure who is wrong or right in the whole situation, but we are positive that we just got caught up in the middle of their rift. They hate each other, she thought we were with her nemesis, so she drags out the gun thinking it was her against "us".

She is fine with what we are doing, but is just highly peeved at her neighbor. The same goes for him - he's equally fed up with her. It's a bad deal, but at least she knows now that we have no involvement.

I have no idea where the tire slashing came into the picture. The trucks were so far away, it certainly wasn't related. I'm with the guys on this one figuring it was some big boar sympathizer who wants the people and the wild hogs to live together in harmony. Just wait until the pigs get into their yard and they are having to fix flowerbeds and sod every day. They will change their mind.

Cheers
