Me and my buddy Jordan hit the woods this morning about 9:45. And left around one. Took my chomper pup 11 months old to the woods. Got him on two hogs. He did great. We had been hunting for about an hour and a half with no luck. No tracks no rooting nothing. We're headed back to the truck when my buzz dog barked and then the others got there shortly and bayed up a small boar hog with nice teeth. Cut the Catchdogs loose and caught solid on the ear. Had a heck of a time breaking him off. Got the hog tied up and then we saw on the garmin that the dogs had rolled and were sitting at 350 yards. took our time walking and sat there and watched the dogs bay and work for a few minutes getting some video then cut chomper loose by himself. Swam a small creek ran in locked down on the ear. Caught hog number two. Dogs tore her leg up to bad to get her out alive. Went back to the truck and loaded all the dogs up and decided to go Barr the boar hog we had caught. Neither one of us had any experience at this or seen it done but I think we did it right. I let the hog loose and jumped up in a tree and he stood there and growled at me for a few seconds then he ran off. Hope we see him in a few years. Chomper came from Greg. I believe HOgdoggerspc on here. Or something close to that.
Chomper suited up.
The boar hog. Now Barr hog.
Me and chomper with the second hog.
Jordan with his big momma gyp and chomper.
Me big momma and buzz. The brindle dog is Jordan's and she is bred to my buzz dog on the right. Can't wait to see how the pups turn out. Buzz is just 16 months old but was exactly what Jordan's been wanting to breed her two so we went ahead and did the cross.
