What's the youngest dog you've ever had or heard of that's already striking it's own pigs, my buddies dog was striking at 8 months. That's about the youngest I've heard of.

Had a mtn cur or brindle cur never got a clear answer as to what she was. Anyhow raised her up to about 7 months then gave her to a buddy that hunted a lot more and supposedly she started strikin for him bout a month later.

One of my hunting buddies cat struck his first hog at 7 months old. He's 7 now and is a hog finding machine. He's priceless. Everybody that knows and has hunted with him says he's the best they've ever hunted with. This dog knows if he doesn't find a hog he sleeps in the kennnel and if he does find a hog he sleeps in the house. No BS!

Believe it or not i happened to have 2 jagds who started finding hogs at the same age. 1 was noticeably better than the other at 6 months but they both caught hogs solo for me. Did yours by chance come out of the lufkin area?
