snorkeling scuba diving glass bottom boats jet skis. and lots of lots of alcohol. there's also the old ars ruins in hiking trails. your hotel should have a concierge. don't worry about Internet or pamphlets ask that dude he knows the best spots. I guarantee you you will need a vacation from your vacation

Blacksmith I have heard that by several people also
The snorkeling and glass bottom boats seem cool. We were planning on dong the deep sea fish trip and lots of people enjoy the snorkeling some will problem try that. They also offer zip lining and was kinda thinking on that as well any input on the ole zip line?

Just got back from there for 7 days stayed at the el dorado royale. We went deep sea fishing we booked it with lomas travel from our resort. Very pleased with the trip just didn't catch any trophy fish. They said its an excellent time right now for fishing there. Everyone I talked to at the resort said they were the ppl to go with and usually have great luck. Didn't zip line but heard Xel Ha was the place to go also had snorkeling, some underground caves and a lot of other stuff you could see at the same place

this was about 10 yrs ago... rented a jeep and drove to the mayan ruins and saw some neat stuff, and I would recommend going.. then on the drive back we were skirting the coastline and came upon a little bar on the beach. the bar owner had just caught a nice mahi mahi and invited us to stay for dinner... great time. if you like to "bend the elbow" you can go on a booze cruise too. if you want to scuba dive or snorkel go to Cozumel. if your not certified to scuba dive you have to take a course for like 6 to 8 hours, and those are boring... plus you cannot fly within 24 or 48 hours of scuba diving...
