sounds like we need to exploit this guy so that everyone will know who he is, that was just a big damn lie
that won't turn out well for you or anyone else that starts throwing names around. The admins on here will tell you quick fast and in a hurry not start throwing around accusations and to keep it in PM's

When I see a "finished strike dog" for sale, I always wonder why some of the seller's hunting partners or neighbors in the area wouldn't buy the dog. I know of several dogs that could be sold today if the owner even mentioned selling, and the dog never would leave the county. I don't think you are going to buy a "rockstar" unless you buy him as a pup.

If somebody is selling a dog on a trial bases for $1500 would it be smart to let someone take the dog for 2 weeks, hunt it and then in two weeks if they like the dog bring you the money? Hell no, its the same as giving a man $1500 for a dog you know nothing about, I don't plan on spending cash like that on a dog, but if I did I would wanna see the dog hunt on his own before handing over the money for a two week trail.

Always wondered that myself.

Always wondered that myself. Money makes things happen! I have seen good dogs sold outside the circle because of the price. I'm sure the dog was worth the money, but no one in the circle could produce it, or they all had equally good dogs.

Or the fact some people are alil skeptical about selling that good of a dog to someone who hunts the same properties. No sense in having to compete against a dog that you raised and made.

Not trying to jack this colorful topic but, do a lot of people share properties? I went hunting with quite the character up by canton a few years back and he pulled dogs out of two different yards of people he knew. Half the pack we hunted, he didn't own. And then when picking properties, he called around to see who had hunted where like they all shared. He dropped the dogs off when we finished and that was that. didn't think it was an ordinary thing to do....not exactly that way down here. Your spots are your spots.....I wouldn't want to lose hogs to a dog i raised....

I hunt with my Dad, Uncle, and a couple of good friends. We all work, so we hunt when we can. We hunt the same places and use each others dogs. We are all about breeding and making better dogs, so jealousy over places to hunt is a non-factor. However, we are blessed and have several good places to hunt. I'm sure that makes a big difference.

Funny how like 90% of the ppl who advertise finished dogs on here go to fishtailing when u ask to hunt with the dog. It should b a requirement to show the dog in the woods to advertise one!
