home remedies for mosquitoes???

I live in the marsh in Louisiana and my dogs get torchered every night by thousands of mosquitoes. Spent alot of money and nothing works, Any ideas that can help keep them off?

go to lowes or walmart and buy cutter yard spray...covers about 5000 square ft. just hook up to water hose and get after it...spray the dogs down and inside the dog houses as well...I spray the kennels and surrounding areas...Cutter works for about a month and maybe longer...I spray my front and back yards with it...a great product...

once upon a time I would fire up my fogger at dark and then get up about 2 am and fog the yard and kennels again then get back up to go to work at 4:30 am...I could hear the dogs crying for relief all night until I found cutter...dogs be sleeping like new born babies...

I also live in the swamps of south La. This is what works for me. My dogs are on a 20 acre island surrounded
by swamp,bayous, pond and canals. Like Reuben said above, I use Cutters Backyard Bug Control. I hook it to
a hose pipe and spray everything. Inside barrels, floor, roof, surrounding yard, edge of the pond and bayou etc. I also have lots of Banana trees across from the kennels along the bayou. I make sure to spray them also.     It goes without saying, Ivermectin once a month religiously, all year round.

During summer I also use Absorbine UltraShield EX sweat & water proof insect repellant. It last for about
20 days. Dont need much, Just mist your dogs with it.
