Well Ole Rooster79 came down and brought me one hell of a nice gyp a cousin to my Cracker dog .  High hopes for this gyp hope she is a clone to him. Make some clone pups one day LOL .   Thanks Rooster hell of a guy !

Well while ole Rooster was here he got to see the misery we go threw with some of these running hogs .   We drop the dogs out at day light .  They hunt for a while kinda slow really today .  Then the Whitey gyp strikes all the dogs go to her Rooster and me try to get in there but it was all for nothing.  The hog breaks and its a marathon to say the least .  We have to end up going way way around by the time we get there dogs are scattered everywere.  I guess the big hog ran them threw a bunch of littler hogs usally what happens and the big hog heads to the mountain .  Well Whitey and Horn are one direction ,  Bell in another and Hannah in another .  We cant get on the proptery were they are at but my buddy came by and made some calls and we got on the next door proptery . Still didn't matter they were to far up on the mountain side and all we could do was wait and try to call them out .  All this started at 6.15 am .

Long story short finally get Horn , Whitey and Bell back.  Now Hannah she is 1.24 treed for a long long time and she was treed a few times before that at around a mile .  Well Rooster has to leave I take him back to his truck and I done ran out of gas in my wheeler half a tank by the way today.  So Rooster is on the long trip back home and am looking for the Hannah dog .  I go back look at the garmin map and realize the gyp is about two miles on another County Road.   Its saying treed at the end of a long drive way and I then reconized the long drive way it was my buddys place.  So haul ass over there and drive up to his house he has her penned up with the collar in a tall tree.  He says man that is a pretty good little gyp said I heard yall on the other side of the creek dogs baying and at times yall calling dogs.  Said this gyp was baying her butt off down on this side of the creek so I got my gun went down there and she had about a 150 lb sow bayed LOL he said I didn't think you would mind so I shot the sow and the little gyp came out and I took her to the house tired calling your number but no answer it was my wifes number .  LOL So all the hunting with did and another man had all the fun and got a hog .   hahahahhahahaahah   I guess you cant win them all .   All I can say is Rooster you seen it with your on eyes the hell we got over here .  Am gonna breeder ruffer than hell you can bet on that !  Misery is the name I named the little Gyp cause hopefully she is gonna give some hogs AS MUCH  "MISERY" as they give me sometimes !

" MISERY "

I bet they all turn out pretty dang good sure got a lot of great breeding behind them and a good family of working dogs and good people breeding them.  Am trying to put what the Fla dogs have into my line all that stopping power plus the other goodies they offer all the while trying to keep what mine has got which is all of it but the stopping power JMO of mine no offense meant if some might want to take it that way . If I can get that true half & half Am gonna be a happy camper.  No problems finding hogs the problem is getting them stop and "before" the running gets started which is what the Fla dogs specialize in .  I have worked this yard down to noting but my old Joe & Leggs stuff an the Fla dog which is six finished type dogs including one Lacy my Bell gyp and the rest are two breedings on the ground now of this cross Fla cur x Joe/Leggs.  One breeding is  straight Fla Cur "Cracker" x Straight Joe type stuff no Leggs and another breeding which is Fla Cur x Joe/Leggs stuff the other was the Fla Cur x Bell the Lacy gyp.

Now its just waiting time !

Long drive but it was worth it just to witness the definition of runners. Have to admit, that was a first for me. It sure reminded me of running deer with beagles back in FL. I liked to hear the race for a little bit but it got old when you spent more time hunting for the dogs than you did hunting for the deer. Mr Jimmy's dogs done a hell of a job finding and stickin with them but them hogs definitely know the routine. I can't say that rank dogs will stop them every time but I think they will cut some of that nonsense out. Just one unlucky mishap can get you out of the dog business in a hurry. So, spreading a few of these pups around TX was a strategic plan I had just in case I got in a bind one day. Now I won't have to drive 1200 miles back to FL to breed a dog. Thanks for the hunt Mr Jimmy I enjoyed it.

I sent a pair down to a friend in labelle about 10 years ago. Aaron Bryson is his name. The gyp he called Macy and the dog he named Frog. Macy was one of the finest cow dogs I've seen but got runned over and killed. Frog was a rank motha trucker. I seen him anchor an 1100 lb Braford cow when he was 10 months old. Heard frog died but Bryson said he had a bunch of children around Labelle and imokalee. U seen any of them dogs around there?

friend of mine's dad in labelle rasied a litter of black and tans for a friend outta a dog named sue.  Domt know who owned sue.  She was on the smaller side, and bobtailed.  everyone of them little ankle biters was black and tan and bobtailed.  everyone of them pups was spoken for before they even hit the ground.
