was thinking about getting this one with 2 collars...I am thinking it might be a good one for the money...but I would like some input on all the models...I just want to make sure I get the best one for the money...don't want to break the bank but want a reliable unit that will last for many years...

thanks in advance...

http://www.tritronics.com/pro-100-g3-exp.html

but the Field 90 G3 EXP seems to be best for what I need...seems it does exactly the same as the pro 100 but with less gadgets...all I need is the high button because I want to make a statement to the dog and just get it over with...  Smiley but hope to get the pros and cons...the 90 is cheaper price wise but don't know about the durability...I suspect they are the same in that department...

Rueben when I finally got too old to run thru the woods screaming and hollering and cussing dogs I looked into all the units and for the money I settled on the   SPORT COMBO G3  . it has done every thing I asked of it and has the range to reach out and touch some one for less than the units you are asking about . just my thoughts on it . I use the tone function more than the shocker now .  I love being able to tone the dogs back home from a distance  .

Halfbreed, thanks for your response...I checked into the unit that you have and the price is right and it seems to be a good one as well...I also found this one for $267 and it looks to be a good one...Tri-Tronics Classic 70 G3 EXP...looks like that one is great for the price...had some good reviews on it as well...that is what I am leaning towards...I have a long range mt cur that won't come off a track until he is ready...I am fixing to reach out there and make him mind...  Smiley

lol yeah mine ignores the tone some times and I have to remind him what comes after the tone if he don't respond quick enough   .

on another note where do you get all your info on the mnt. curs ?  I joined squirrel dog central [ $ 10.00 a year ]  to get full access . and they have THE BEST  pedigree system I have found . you just punch in a dogs name and if it's in the system it shows all the info on the dogs pedigree back 5 generations , then you can see the siblings and half siblings as well . it's a good source of info . if you need anything looked up let me know and i'll see what's in the system on it and print it out for ya  .

Tri-Tronics Classic 70 G3 EXP...I think this is going to be it...found it pretty cheap...$267.00...but by time I get the holster and another collar it will be hurting my back pocket...  Shocked

I bought this unit with 2 collars back some months ago and really like it Reuben. It works very well for me, but I haven't had to try the range on it, says a mile and I don't doubt it. Tri-Tronics stuff is tough or has been for me. They have lithium-ion batteries now and last a long time, plus charge up in no time. I think you've made a wise decision....good luck with it.

I think you will be happy with it Tri - Tronics makes good stuff. The only reason I have the trash breaker is for the 2 mile range. they usually get about half of the range in the woods.

All of Tritronics shock systems are head & shoulders above anything else on the market. I have the Trashbreaker 6 dog system & love it, & like that tone button even better.
