well ol baby my plott gyp was raising hell last night and wouldn't shut up so I had to go outside and see what the heck was up  . took me a bit but I finally found the problem . she was baying at a copperhead . so I went and got my hoe  [  not female , the kind you garden with  lol ] and went about killing it and I learned something about copperheads that I didn't know  . my first whack missed the head and cut the snakes belly , well a couple whacks later I finally got it kilt . well I decided to do a little snake breaking with my mnt. cur whom was with me at the time . so i'm messing with him and the snake a low and behold baby copperheads started coming out of the cut in the snakes belly  lol . all in all I killed 7 babys after I got them all out . I thought copperheads laid eggs and didn't know they gave live birth . never really thought about it actually . but to say the least it was an educational experience  .  no dogs were bitten in the making of this movie but unfortunately all snakes were KILLED

lol  no joke . I have been in the woods all my life . catching all kinds of snakes since childhood  . and out of all my years I have seen , caught and killed more copperheads on this 3 acres in three years than I have seen and killed in my 58 years of life . should have been bitten more times than I can remember here . just been damn lucky  .

I know you mint to say "fortunately all snakes were neutralized"... and not "unfortunately all snakes were killed"...

so I went and got my hoe  [  not female , the kind you garden with  lol...I sure am glad you explained yourself to these youngsters...but really you needed to post a picture of a good sturdy HOE...and not all hoes are of the same quality...you get what you pay for...can someone say Amen...  Shocked Huh? Smiley

Neat deal. Several years ago I was trying to get a stingray off my last hook when it sprayed me with what smelled like milk and out plopped a baby stingray right there on my boot. The animal world is full of tricks.

Yep I do believe cotton mouths are also live bearers. I think all poisonous snakes are live bearers.
