Been on a long streak of small hogs and it was getting old. Heard some hogs were hitting a wheat field and knew I had seen some good tracks out there a week or so ago so figured what the heck make a quick run and see. Pull up to no hogs in the field kill truck and sit there for a minute and wife says I hear hogs. Sure enough spunded like 2 boars in the creek fighting so dump the bed and dogs haul butt. 400 yards later caught hog. Short simple and good hog at the end. Simple till my wife and I tried to load him by our selves. Damn he was heavy. Thinking just shy of 300. He is thick and tall just not real long and he has a snare on the end of his snout mouth but was able to open his mouth probally 3 inches or so. One small poke so all went well and was in bed before 10.  |
