Hit a honey hole Friday. Ended up with four hogs 600+ lbs total. Good boar dogs struck off his wallow. Broke once shut down 416 yds and caught.   Big sow probably 280. She dressed out a 233. Landowner wanted sausage he got it.  Caught this boar in the mud what a mess.  Hunt at Andy's ranch. Had a good rally. We were fixin to do a little shooting when Andy's rcd Addie broke out of the box and put an end to it.  Spotted boar dogs tracked off a feeder.  Some of my dogs.  RockingW made a trip east to hunt some of our thick stuff. Good boar on creek.  Then we headed out west and hunted some of his open country. Girls had a blast.  |

Great pics. Those first two hogs have a nice color to them and that boar had some good curly hair on him. Some nice looking dogs too.

Hugh,
Just took the stag/bulls out on their first hunt last Friday. At 15 months they still have a lot of pup in them so not trying to rush it. I chose to not turn them on that big boar didn't want that to be their first hog want them to build up confidence, besides it was too thick.
On the other hand, the one you had is catching like a freight train. Must be a long haired thing I don't know. She turned out big and beautiful. I'll put a pic of her up later.
I'm going to cross one of them over one of my paint bulldogs. That will take them down to 1/4 stag and that's what I've been working towards the last year and a half. I'm surprised how strong the staghound gene is.
