Knew today was gonna be the last pretty day in the forecast compared to the up coming winter weather. So we loaded up pups for training and headed out to set up a mock hunt. We parked the truck and dogs 400 yards down by a lake. Took the other truck and pigs off into the brush. The first plant was a sow round 110 pounds, secured her to a tree with her back foot then placed a cage over her. The reason I'm caging is my pups are really rough and I was more concerned about teaching them to wind and striking the pig correctly. I drove the other sow (150 pounds) jus north of my first plant around 75 yards, with intent to teach my pups to learn how to roll out on another pig. The plan couldn't went any smoother, drove back to get my pups put them on the ground and they burned out 200 yards. My clinger pup, Bert stopped on the lake damn to see if we was coming. We came off the damn into the woods Bertha , Cam, Bert and Tank ran over the drag. Bertha turned and let out a bark, one time, all dogs were running the area picked it up quick and to miss piggy they went. We let them bay for a bit, called caught hog and walked them to the road. I dropped the leads and said hunt em up! The wind was in my favor and they be lined to the other sow. Very proud of my babies , they are picking it up quick.. Jus turned 7 months today. Bertha Bert Tank Cam

Thank u, I'm excited to get them in the woods on some pigs, jus holding out till they are a bit bigger. They are so catchy and u never know how big the pigs are that u are gonna come across. Don't want to get them wrecked so young.

That's a good question, what bloodline? Well I can say that we are not sure. My female BMC came from south Texas. Or that's what we was told, several people in the hog hunting game has passed this Yella dog on, saying she is just a helper dog (think Monty might know bout her but I haven't asked). Their daddy my DieselDog was found in a box on the side of a road by one of my friends. He couldn't have been 6 to 8 weeks old when I got him. So his origin and bloodline is questionable . Did find out a large ranch in the area where he was found raises curs but never looked into it further. Jus thought these two dogs would through some nice hog dogs and THEY DIDN'T let me down.
