Took DW out to my place. He brought his Lacy's....Huck, Layla and Pepper. I brought Bella...her daughter Abby and Preacher. Emmett and Zeus for CD's.

Took a while but Bella finally struck. There was probably about 40 minutes worth of baying and breaking but we finally shut this sow down.

I never could get this video to download in HD so I'm not sure about the quality.

Yeah....bad day for us yesterday too Jimmy. My Preacher pup ran what I'm pretty sure were a couple deer a PRETTY long ways. He never came treed and no other dogs did either....hell....he left all the dogs but one in his dust, lol. Either that or they just knew it was a deer and quit it. IDK....very frustrating. Lol

I do know this ... We drove to the edge of the property he was on ( property we didn't have access to ) parked and listened. Didn't hear him.... But he was running in one area....trying to pick up a track it seemed. There was a veteran not to far from him. Here's the worse part of the deal..... While we were sitting there we saw 6-8 hogs trailing through the brush about. 350-400 yards away.... Heading away from the dogs. There were 4 hogs in that group that were VERY BIG. One in the group.... I swear....was the biggest hog I've ever seen personally. This is from 350-400 yards mind you ...and STILL looked huge.

Frustrating.....

Kevin, don't get frustrated with em, he sounds like he is doing great just a little trashy maybe...that can be fixed! a trashy dog is a hunting dog brother, time to get him lined out on what and what not to hunt! It sounds to me like he is on his way to making a dog.

Don't feel bad, I had a hog bayed in some of the thickest woods ive ever crawled thru, I got under 10' from it on my hands and knee's and watched my 6 month old pup ease in baying and get cut for a flip.......hog busted out from behind a blow down and rolled his ass, not exactly how you want a pups first time in the woods to end up BUT he did take the hog 200 + yards after so I wasn't too worried..........sounds like me and you had pretty similar weekends! thats why they call it huntin and not killin tho!
