Took the girls out for a run on the river. They struck a small sounder off a point cross the water. Bird , spot and Yella swam across and picked up the trail. Shut down a pig at 150 yards was baying hard. We headed across the river got 70 yards from the bay when the pig bout 120 pounds ran toward us , back toward the river in some tall grass and laid down. We are on a small sand hill , watching the dogs jump around looking for this pig. Took a second before bird and spot went to barking again. The pig jumped out of the grass and it wasn't the same one, they struck a white little boar round 50 pounds running him west 140 yards. We turned to go toward our dog when the other pig jumped in the water and took off back to the opposite side of the river, tried to get our CD to see the pig running but the girls had bayed up again, so we let it go to make this other bay. Turned CD to them , one down
Gathered up and crossed back over the river to pick up the 120 pounder. The dogs caught wind and off they went, went 700 yards before we heard spot, bird and Yella open up again. They had chased it up the side of a steep cliff. Took us 20 minutes to even get close, but the girls were holding strong, we sent the CD in, and what a surprise we got when we finally got there, a monsterous 15 pounder... Lol ...
Had to call it a night, somewhere along the way I lost my 357 mag, so spent the rest of our time finding my gun. Thank God I did find it...
