I don't have any good pictures of him, I'll try and remember to take some Friday when I take the dogs out.

I have a red lep catahoula that I use as a catch dog. He's 67 lbs (last time he was at the get gettin his rabies shot, but he's fat right now). Short range dog, will catch any size hog and not let go. He usually stays pretty close to me when I'm walking, he will range out to about 150 yards and just circle me. But, when there is a bay, I can send him from any distance and will have a caught hog when I get there.

I have a BMC x pit mix that is almost straight catch. We use him as a running catch dog with the pack.
If I'm walk hunting by myself, he will make 200-300 yard circles before checking back. Will catch any size with the pack.
Biggest by himself that he's been on was about 180# and he barked like 3 times then caught. He's about 55-60#.
For some reason I can't post his pics, if someone wants to post for me just pm me and I'll txt them to you to post.

This is Kane. Not the best pic but it was a few days after his wreck. He can find run and catch. A few days before this pic that caused this. He is a pretty decent dog. U can lead him in but he would rather be there from the jump. He is a ridgeback x pit. He is the finest dillo dog that ever lived.

all my dogs are pretty rough . my Catahoula's are straight up catch dogs . I tried to tone down the catching with putting hound blood in them but all the pups out of the crosses are just as gritty as the full blooded dogs  .  when I first started catching hogs I didn't know any other hog doggers . and when I got on the computer to see how it was done I wondered why they needed what was called a catch dog . I thought all dogs were supposed to catch the hog   lol  .

one of the best out there in his day .  I started out hunting him and a plott gyp bell and another brindle cat gyp . and with those three and just me and my rope brought down a bunch of hogs  . lol
I didn't know what a bay was I just went in to the sound of grunting and squeeling   lol .

This is buddy. 7 months old in this pic. I've seen him straight catch on a 150# sow. The first time he ever saw a pig at about 12 weeks old he tried to get out of the pen. 2 nights later you couldn't keep him away from a pig. He's very gritty. Stay right in the pigs face and loves to put teeth on one. Hell catch any size pig as soon as the bulldog hits. He just recently started to trail his own but isn't consistent on range yet. He's just under a year old now and I'm pretty happy with the old boy.
