I constantly see threads about yellow dogs, spotted dogs, saddle back, etc. I personally have no preference, although I just like most of you would prefer a good lookin dog that is jam up, but does it really matter. I mean I understand a man standing behind his dogs and occasionally taking something personal, that's occasionally though. It just seems like some people take it alittle to far. So I ask, does it matter, is it really that big of a deal what color, breed, or size for that matter. I could only assume it doesn't but I'd hate to make an ass outta myself, so there the ? is again. Does it matter what they look like doin it, as long as they are doin whatever it is?

yes it matters immensely !!!!   if it ain't got spots , it just ain't right   lol   ..   what one must understand is that most all of the breed bashing ect. ect. is just in jest , but jest is hard to convey from an internet keyboard and as a result  some butts get hurt in the conversation   . Grin  and then , way too many folks are just way too sensitive these days  .

My dogs are red so there is no way my dogs can be good. So papers are all that matter. Papered dogs wow the hogs into baying with there lineage. Dang it mine don't have papers either.

Anybody got some paint or a spare notebook full of paper?

All My dogs some reason are all black or black and tan Wink  I will probable continue to have all black and tan dogs too.  I like the dog work and enjoying the time in the woods with family's and friends that enjoy the same passion as i do!

If a dog makes a really good dog, he is plenty smart. If he gets the job done better than most where you hunt, he is the right size. If he can hold up to hard use and hunting, day after day, he will be made right. Let the color fall where it may.

well said bigo, very well said.

I personally like yellow dogs, only real reason for it is because they were the first good dogs I got my hands on BUT having said that I also have brindle dogs and red dogs in my yard as well and they are doing well for me. I just like a good hunting dog, don't care what color it is, I have my preferences but thats neither here nor there. I have been guilty of pestering with other folks about the color of their dogs and have more than likely ticked a few people off but I mean no harm and meant no harm by it, as long as the dog hunts and hunts well what difference does it make what color it is! Its kinda like professional sports teams, we all have our favorites and we all have ones we dislike just part of the game I reckon.
