Got a gyp that had pups. Had to take pups off yesterday they sucked her dry she wasn't producing no more milk. Pups r fine and look good but she's looking poor and boney. Any other liquid besides water to get her moving better. She eats and has water so that ain't the issue

I've added puppy food/Milk replacer and cheese to the gyps food while she was nursing for the extra calcium. I've also separated the gyp from the pups for about half the day to let the milk build back up.

ok ferris I'd leave the pups off of her and give her all she wants to eat , be sure and worm her good and I all ways put my gyps on three days of amoxycillen when I pull pups off to avoid any mamory infections or any others for that matter . anti-biotics after they whelp and after they wean . a good doggy brand multi vitamin to replace what the pups took out of her . if she's worm free and no infections she should bounce back pretty quick .

Nope, In my opinion if you pull the pups off, keep her on half the feed. If you pull the pups off & still pour the feed to her, there is a good chance she will develop mastitis. Wait about 4 or 5 days before you increase her feed.

I totally agree...feeding double or more and plenty of water is for bitches that are feeding pups that are not weaned...
