I know , I know it to be true shotgun but you can wrap that scientific study in gold wrapping paper and give it to a deer hunter and they will call it bull crap propaganda created by the wildlife dept's to ruin their chances of killing a deer   lol   every deer hunter knows that deer won't come to a pile of corn slathered in doe in heat lure after a dog has been in the area  .

I think Alabama or Georgia did this type study as well with the same results .

Just be glad there isn't a season for hogs.

I love deer season , my family loves to deer hunt and I manage hunts on a ranch. We deer hunt from October until the last day in February.

Running dogs wont interupt a deer's habits. Yes, the dogs will run the deer off but could return back to the feeder within 10-30mon after getting spooked off. Iv seen deer spooked by dogs, other deer or other animals and 8 out of 10 times, the deer return to the feeder. I had a flock of turkeys run a couple doe off n when the deer realized it was just another wild animal n posed no threat, they returned n fed with the turkeys.
Now hunting non baited areas, yes for the most part the deer wont return if there isnt anything to of intrest to get them to return. iv hunted nf land and there is no baiting allowed and its a crap shoot if u see a deer unless sitting on top of a game trail n even then, there aint no ganrantee a deer will walk the trail on a specific time or day.

I have seen deer run 30 yards and stop while a pack of dogs ran a deer by. After the dogs were gone they went back to feeding. Also if u wanna kill the most deer in front of dogs stand where they jump and wait. They are coming back to that spot sooner or later.

lol   yep  sometimes it was hard to tell if our young beagles had busted a deer or were running a long legged buck swamp rabbit that had a large home range . some of them ol swampers would take the dogs plum out of hearing before they circled back .
