My boy has been working on a ranch for the past two yrs and wanted a change he had been working 7 days a week for the last yr. being that he finished high school before he turned 17 he has been hard at it. Smart kid but didn't want to go to college. He wanted to try his had at cabinets like his old man. Well I talked to the shop and told them don't let him get special treatment cuz of me. He has been on many a job getting slave drove by me but I wanted him to make his own name. I can honestly say he did not disappoint second day made 27 cabinets the shop boss called me and said that two weeks in and he is making 45 a day. Thanks momma you did awesome

Glad to hear about young people with hard work ethics and enough respect to listen and learn.I am also a believer in momma's home being momma's. It's a little tougher Dad but worth it nonetheless.

I think it is a good way to keep outa trouble requires a whole lotta time and commitment even at a amateur level. If a fellow has a job, trains, fights and drags hogs I'd think it nearly impossible to have any time for trouble.

Lol yep. This kid is way above the average kid when it comes to abilities. I have seen him do things most decent athletes can't do and do it easy. I seen him run down a 100 lb sow in a open field and leg it no dogs or atv. I seen him jump across creeks swim rivers jump fences like a deer. I just watch him in aw at times. Most of it is his internal drive

never met you or your sons judge, but from reading your posts and the stories about your sons, there is NO doubt them boys are the way they are because of you and the misses. it is rare to find youngsters like yours these days. it all goes to show that with proper raising, integrity, honor and discipline, there can still be hope for a better population of people in an ever so shrinking of old school raisings. to bad all kids can't become fine young men like yours are.

Thanks Charles. It's truly a team effort mom dad aunts uncles grand parents and close friends all watching and caring we have lost this way of life as a country. We are all individuals now days in stead of a true family and community like old times.
