Any ideas on what it could be? Popped up a couple weeks ago and I thought it would go away but hadn't yet. I worm her every two weeks with Valbazen and Ivermectin every now and again.

I had a dog get allergic to the feed I was feeding and it looked just like that I feed the dog raw meet for two weeks and started going away and that's how I figured out what it was and the vet told me that a dog needs hair in there diet and if the dog for don't have it there body tells them to get it from there self and they will try to eat there hair the way it is in the pic so I don't know if it was the allergy or needing hair

Thanks for the help. I sprayed some wound spray on it but I guess it wasn't the right kind or something of the sort. I'll wash her up and then maybe try to see if it's something in the feed

A dogs saliva will turn the hair and skin brown like that if they constantly lick at it. I have a female that does it. She's the same color as the dog in the pic and when I saw that it looks just like what my dogs does.

Does it ever go away? Or does it bother her any? It doesn't bother my gyp any but I felt I had better get a hold of it before it got outta hand

It just comes and goes. I used diluted bleach. And sprayed on it because I was thinking it was some kind of infection.  It seemed to help some.
