Had an interesting night last night.  Went out to a new spot that had not hunted.  The guys were with knew the country at least a little so we are set to go we think.  We let out and there was pig tracks EVERYWHERE.  We made a loop around the place with nothing but sign.  We were headed back to the truck and the dogs struck.  We were running an older finished dog young dog with promise and two rcds and a lead in catch dog.  we start makeing our way to the bay and come to find out they are in about as nasty of a place as can get.  You could not walk you had to hop over briers and everything else.  The hog is messing with them going a little ways then just stoping and watching we guess by the sounds of the barks.  One rcd is in there but no fight no sound what so ever from him(dont know what his deal is think he just follows with no bark and no bite was a new dog so)  just the two bay dogs barking.  The other rcd comes flying past us to the bay guess he had backtracked the hogs.  Well he hits and with out backup from the other dog the hog breaks.  Then we get lost or vary turned around.  Dogs are barking and we are trying to follow but there are little creeks going every which way.  Then yotes joined in and i guess all the dogs but one buggered off.  We walked for a while looking for the one and he finnaly came back and we have to try and make our way out.  We figgured we were mad the dogs were mad we would hit one more spot on the way home.  It is a suddan field that is holding hogs well.  We turn out and in about 10 mins we have a bay well sorta the hog is walking through the field and is not stoping.  We stayed on the road for a while listeining and the barking gat real close and could see the grass moveing and the catch dog was wanting to go and the hog was only a few yards from us so we cut loose.  we wait a min or so and sounds like he hit and is caught.  we move in and are running in and the dang catch dog runns past us so we start backtracking fast.  again sounds like he catches so we move in again and get close but we hear no fight and no squeeling.  This goes on for a few mins then the hog makes his way out of the suddan and heads for the hills.  we follow but cant catch up to them and finnally the dogs came back again.  Think we need a faster catch dog or something lol.  The best laid plans dang sure did not pan out lastnight.  That suddan is hairy when it is over your head and you can only see about 2 foot in frount of your face.
