Went to a spot that we usually only hunt during tournaments and had the strangest hunt I have ever had. Me an my buddy Garrett decided we were going to hunt our dogs separate so we could make the hunt last longer. The place we were at is several thousand acres. He turns out his pack at the trailer which consisted of possum Hercules and a hand full of puppies. Dogs caught a small hog and rolled over. It wasn’t long they brought 2 hogs by us that were a solid 250. They split and about 5 min later it’s shows possum treed with two other dogs. We get about 200 yds from them can’t hear nothing. We slip around there to see what’s going on an possum is laid out lifeless foaming at the mouth with no cuts. It’s says Hercules is treed so while Garrett tends to his dogs I take mine around where Hercules is and he come out. Take them a few hundred yards away dump them back out catch a sow that goes almost 300 and a couple other decent hogs. On the way back to the truck we pick up a dog in the same area possum was that says treed. Get to the dog same thing as possum. Lifeless and foamy mouth. Both dogs die pretty quick after we found them. Another dog that’s on the hunt is acting very strange. He develops similar symptoms and dies the next day. Took the dog to A&M to have test run. All poison and neurological test come back negative. Strangest thing I have ever seen. Still don’t know what happened to any of them. Picture don’t do her justice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sounds like cyanide traps, maybe they have had a coyote problem.

They test for Methomyl?
People put out Golden Malrin Fly bait mixed with coke or dog food to kill coyotes, possum, coons. Makes them drool a bunch and kills dogs.

Yes sir... lots of deer hunters put it out this time of year to keep the coons off their feeders. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro It’s pretty common around here this time as well, if I go anywhere this time of year it’s a deer hunter calling and that’s the first question I ask, I got a call from my cousin the other day to come hit some of their Deer feeders during the week nights and a few had the golden marlin out and I told him I’d hold off until they get it all picked up...

I know the boy that hunts the place and there is not supposed to be any poisons out on there place. One thing that raises a question for me is that there was a be pipe line coming through but I did not see any trash at all. The pipe was still on top of the ground but was welded together. Does golden marlin show up on a poison test?
