Good Friday Hunt

Had the day off and perfect weather to hunt in. Hunted all morning with no luck and finally found some hogs around 1:00.  We caught a small sow and the dogs rolled out on another one.  They came bayed at .75 in a bad spot. The bigger sow bayed in an oxbow lake that’s full of gators... we went to hollering to get her to break. She finally did and bayed on some dry land and we got her caught.

Yeah it ain’t good when u watchin gators swim to the bay. Lol.  Glad it worked out for y’all for sure.

She’s been eating good Mike, you know I always worried more about my Jagd’s falling victim to one of those lizards or a coyote over there more than the hogs. Running the gauntlet.

I guess its just whatever you're used, to but in Gator country I'd steady be thinking about my dog getting ate. And IO figure you guys know your country and know when to be concerned. I don't care for Gators, Wolves, Grizzlies or Treehuggers. Extinction would be a plus in my mind haha.

Real nice sow Mike! I concur with the other guys, those gators make me really nervous for the dogs and even for people getting in the water around them. They aren’t real common around most of the places that I hunt, but down in the low country there’s a lot of them and it makes me nervous anytime I’m hunting around water down there.

Thanks y’all. It’s still been in the 40’s and 50’s most nights. Them gators don’t seem to eat real well till the temps rise... at least that’s been my experience. Probably just jinxed myself saying that hahahaha.
